About Robert Leach
I joined the Army in the summer of 2000, back when things were hard, and there were no wars in sight. From that fateful day in September of 2001, I have been fully immersed in all things military. From my first six years as an infantryman deploying to Iraq both in 2003 and again in 2006, to my time in the Special Forces as a Weapons Sergeant and Intelligence Sergeant with deployments to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, UAE, and others around the Middle East. After retiring from the military, I took a position with the Civil Military Innovation Institute, working on bringing cutting edge technologies and fostering innovation within the Special Operations community.
